I have a water tray on the edge of my patio. Gotta make sure the squirrels have fresh water :D
There has been a skim of ice on it in the mornings lately. When I picked up leaves to clear the top I had a nice surprise. This is what I started with

Rusty, I liked the last one the best. It is always so interesting to see how one image can be made to look so different.

Rusty, I left a comment on the one I liked the best. I think it was the second to last one.
What a cool ice-fossil!!
Thanks y'all. I appreciate the comments.

Too often I will look at an image and decide, "Oh, I should do such and so to this." Then, I do that and that's it. This time I forced myself to take each of my six frames and do something different to each one.

I was really enamored with the sharp detail of the "ice mold" and was rushing to make the shots before the sun got high enough off the morning horizon to strike the ice surface and start blurring the crisp edges. For that reason, I didn't give any serious thought to "a paint" because I didn't want to smudge the detail. Surprise, surprise ... I agree with Reka and really like it a lot.

Thank you again for looking and commenting.

Rusty, my favorite is the 2nd one also. So very vibrant. Great picture.
I left a comment in your gallery too. I like the color/saturated ones the best.
