Took some flower pictures Saturday when I was at the botanical gardens for the model train show.

OK images, but pretty ordinary. I applied Anita's paint technique and then hyped it a bit with Filter > Stylize > Find Edges and then changed the blend mode of that filter layer. Try Overlay and try Multiply ... pick whatever "looks good"

Cool! I like the liquid look you get with that technique. Btw, I think your train OOB in Make Art Monday is way cool too. Good stuff! :thumbsup:

I'm partial to the white one too. The other one would probably look better had I yielded to the temptation to pick off the dead blossom.

I was afraid the park police would have nabbed me ... don't touch the flowers :roll:

Same here. Both are great but I like the orchid the best.

Rusty, A really nice effect. I do like the white orchid, mostly because there are no dead petals.
