Dane, you certainly achieved a lot of color with your 9 1 effect. I especially like the effect on the water.

I took a more conservative approach to my bridge image, focusing more on bringing out brighter tones in the water, gray tones in the clouds, & making the foliage lighter. It's rather difficult to see the changes at low resolution. I'm especially happy with the improvement in the water.

btw - I'm still working on different sky images & haven't accomplished what I would like, mainly because of increased noise, mainly the fault of my camera

Betty,

I pushed the effect to much, but I wanted to show what range that can be had. I have pushed it on cars which looks kind of cool (to me).

As for your image, I like the conservative approach, which is normally the line I try to follow.

Min, Betty posted the link in her thread so I won't here.

I will apologize for not seeing your post as I have been putting in some long hours.

The Nine-One Effect is nothing more than another way to do near HDR effects ... kind of. There are many, many ways to do this effect, and here is my take on the same subject.

Please post what you have done in this thread so we can all see and enjoy.
