Using a contrast mask on a snow scene

I have a new picture in my gallery on which I used a contrast mask when processing it. The contrast mask (as explained in Kimi's Homework #52) really did a nice job on the snow and I thought a before and after might be interesting to others. It did bring out the blue tint in the snow, and perhaps I should have toned that back done, but I was very pleased with the processing overall.

It's hard to see much detail in a small 500 pixel wide shot; here is the final result in my gallery:
