Remember.... if you see an image that you like, please leave a comment for your fellow students. Everyone likes a pat on the back.
There is no right or wrong process here. The point of the creative homework is... to be creative.

A reminder.... this is not really homework. (it is just called homework) These exercises are open to everyone. Hope to see lots of entries!

TEXTURE
This weeks lesson is all about texture.
You must go here and download this great free texture kit by resurgere.

http://resurgere.deviantart.com/art/pai ... 0-46235948

Pick any texture, add it to your image, scroll thru your blend modes until you find a look that appeals to you.
If this is a picture of a person you may want to erase the texture from their face but leave it on the background. The sky is the limit. I can't wait to see what you come up with!

note of interest: some effects will look better if you desaturate your texture before changing your blend modes.

(if you are a newbie... create a new folder and name it texture. drag your texture images into it, trust me... this will not be the only texture images you keep. )

EDIT: here is the link to the textures I found at Deviant Art if you want more.

Kim... love the avatar. :P

Here is mine. I used two of the textures both desaturated. The first one I masked her out and the second I lowered the opacity.

Same picture, different texture and blend mode. This time I used Exclusion. I think it looks like I am looking through a frosted window at the bird house during a snow storm.

I used the texture as a background, laid my picture on it, copied background to top, reduce opacity, and added an colored edge filter. Not my best effort, but after two weeks away from my computer, I feel as if I'm going backward!

Kim, I used that texture too. It worked after I took the color out. :P
It does look like frosted glass. I thought it made Sophia look like she had been cleaning chimneys.

Sunny... love it!!
