This being said as the teacher... I am finding everyone is leaving too much black. It is meant to be an accent not the whole thing. But hey, in kreative homework, anything goes. :mrgreen:

Kimi this is a really effective lesson. Instead of lowering opacity, it could be used to exclude unwanted things in the image. Hey, I thought it would be a quick shortcut! :lol:

I took a liberty with the instructions. Rather than using the white/black gradient set to multiply, I copied the background, set that to multiply and applied the gradient to a layer mask. Thanks for the tip Kimi on Ctrl+T to adjust the gradient into the needed size and shape.

I used other colors also. Thanks for the tip on the free transform,worked great. First photo i have ever posted.
