A quick burst before December completely disappears!

This one is for shiny/reflective. A Christmas star that was a gift from a school in South Africa reflecting the sunlight.

Man cannot change the direction of the wind but he can adjust the sails
The decorations on our Christmas tree are a real mixture - modern plastic baubles, decorations made my my children years ago, gifts and souvenirs with a Christmas theme and precious, fragile blown glass ornaments which date back to our parents childhood. Every year we have less and less of these but there are a few left.

This is a blown glass Christmas decoration (contains C) from my father's era.

This is my choice of photo - our granddaughter patiently waiting for Christmas dinner to be served.

That is number 7 - struggling for something odd - so that is probably it for Dec. May I thank Betty and everyone else who works so hard to come up with these brilliant ideas for our Monthly 8 challenges and wish all on the forum a very Happy New Year.

My choice for "your choice" is the one I missed last month -- Droopy. I think I'm going to be skunked again on that one.

As usual, there's been a lot of good, imaginative work this month.

Angela, your granddaughter is so precious & shows so much wonderful personality. It's always nice to see her. She sure is growing.

All your posted images are interesting & well done.

Thanks for participating in the forum & this thread.

Rusty, maybe January will be a good month for 'droopy'. I think we all feel that way after Christmas.

Some of the grackles have iridescent feathers that seem to reflect light. He posed very nicely for his portrait. :)

a small herd of Texas Long Horn on a wealthy horse ranch.
The long horn in the previous post is a close up of 1 in the parade.

Angela, I really like your shiny and waiting photos.

Betty, those horns are amazing! It's a wonder the cattle don't tip over nose-first. :D I agree, the grackle posed very nicely for you- nice photo.

OK, I've got glow and reflective covered in this first shot. The rising sun is glowing through the clouds and the lines on the highway are reflecting the light of the car's headlights.

Bunch and Odd: This photo is a bunch of people, and though it is difficult to see at the 500 pixel size, I think it's kind of odd that the woman in the black jacket is pushing a child around the ice rink on a bucket!
