Way to go Chris! :woohoo:
Nice art Rusty. Fun one of Chris, Courtney.

My choice for #8
finally, after months of being dry, there has been enough rain to make our near by creek flow :woohoo:

Finally, indeed.

I'll bet the water is welcome in your parched part of the country.

Betty, that is great that you're finally getting some water. In your photo it looks like fall.

I have two photos for streak. In the first, the snow was in odd streaks. In the next, I captured a sledder, streaking down the little sledding hill.

Loving the photos...all of them. Glad you finally got rain, BJ. Send some our way, we're parched and brown.
I guess I'm kind of a philistine when it comes to art ... never could get excited by a still life. After some candlesticks, fruit bowls and wood carvings, I decided to try a pattern along with the object.

I like it, Mr. Philistine! :rotfl: I do not have any ideas yet for still life either. It's also not my normal type of shot.

Nice captures for streak, Courtney

Tennie, I'm surprised that your area needs rain. Seems like only a few weeks ago that the news was reporting that there were rain storms quite frequently there. But, time flies, so it might have been last spring or early summer & now all that good rain has evaporated.

Rusty, I really like your very creative still life.

We were blessed with 3.5" of rain earlier this week. The rock is standing in a resulting puddle under a red-tip bush, which keeps it's nice leaves all year. I keep this rock because it reminds me of a miniature mountain, maybe even a little bit like half-dome. Since, we don't have mountains around here, I have to make do with this rock :)

Thanks Courtney & Betty.

The fruit, wood carvings and candlesticks all looked pretty lame. I never could figure out why the Old Masters, et al, spent time painting stuff like that.

Another entry for rock. Living where I do I find rock to be an easy one for me.
