Change a blend mode, play with a filter ..... anything goes as "ART"

NOTE: You may post your art through out the week. It is just a push to get you to go in and try something new. Remember you can post as many times as you want and it doesn't have to be just on Monday. Brushes, patterns, gradients, abstracts anything you want. So let's get busy and make some GREAT art!
Happy Monday everyone. My Monday art submission is a decorated tree that was next to our cabin in the forest. Topaz Adjust and filter forge frame used.

Chas, that's a funny tree you found.

Here's my original photo.

Here's what I did to it with CS5's Colored Pencil filter. I used the settings of 24 - 15 - 50

Chas, I like your processing! Russ, yours also turned out nice. I think I'll have time today to make some art, I hope.

I replaced the background with a NASA APOD image (Carina Nebula, credit Robert Gendler) and then topped with Impasto Varnish as a texture layer.

Fun tree, Chas. Nice, Russ. Rusty, love the new background. Sure fits with the picture.

Inspired by Anita (Westiemom) who was looking for things to shoot in this dead/dry season. Decided to look for beauty, or at least interesting subjects often overlooked. So I give you

Tennie - that does look like a bird! Good one.

I finally got around to copying Christell's motion blur technique from her football catch photo. I like how it turned out. It was hard to find an action shot in all my photos. I guess I really don't photograph many moving subjects.
