It's "Make Art Monday!" So let's get busy and make some GREAT art!

Change a blend mode, play with a filter ..... anything goes as "ART"
My Memorial Day Monday submission is a photo of a train trestle using Nik's Viveza 2 for a faux HDR treatment.

Well, I guess I can continue with a vivid color theme.

DW was searching for just the "right red" for our patio plants. I think this image just cries out for the Orton treatment.

I used the Conte Crayon filter in CS6 to get this result.

Rusty, the red flowers give the picture a 3-D look.
Russ, I really like the treatment you used on the Yosemite photo.

Chas, thanks for the kind words. If it wasn't for this thread (each week) I'd never try those filters.
Love your art chas, Rusty & Russ

I don't know if I will be posting art this week. But, I would like to share this sneak peak link to the new Topaz fx. It will be released soon at the introductory price of $29. Regular price will be $79. (I'm eagerly awaiting the release)

The fx plugin sounds like the plugin that a nonTopaz owner might really want to check out & consider starting with.

Chas i just love all the colors in your art.
Rusty i do agree the Orton effect is perfect. Is this the red your wife wanted?
Russ what a fantastic look you have created. Beautiful
Yes, Judy, she was filling the cart when I made that shot.

We have very nice greenhouses around here but every May we make a 60-mile round trip to Racine to visit this specific one. When I took that shot I was standing in the middle of the greenhouse; there is just as much behind me as appears in that view. They have five such structures side-by-side and then add in all of the outdoor stuff surrounding the greenhouses.

The thirty mile drive is worth it for the selection they have here.
