Russ - Gorgeous rose!!

Rusty - I really like your clever "changes" image. It just shows what creativity can do with objects close to home!

Mary
Thanks, Mary

Here is a photo for changes. This is my son on his first day of school, carrying all his new supplies, heading off to meet a new teacher and new classmates in 2nd grade. Oh, and in a new jacket.

My unbiased opinion is, "That sure is a fine looking second grader!" 8-)

When I moved to Wisconsin in 1972 seeing a covey of Bobwhite Quail alongside country roads was not uncommon. I haven't seen one in years and my NG Field Guide says, "At northern edge of range [clearly Wisconsin], numbers have greatly declined over the last couple of decades." I have another field guide, "Birds of Wisconsin", and that one doesn't show any type of quail.

Soooooooo, that's my proof ... this dude (it's a juvenile) that's been hanging out in my backyard for three days now clearly qualifies as an exotic bird as far as Brookfield Wisconsin is concerned.

The fact that I have been putting out a small pile of chicken scratch in the same place every day might have something to do with him hanging around :D

Mary, thank you for your encouraging comments and support. I feel our photo threads offer interesting & even educational visual interpretations by the participants. Beautiful rock layers.

Rusty, you sure have been busy posting wonderful photos. Love seeing them all. I've heard Bob White calls around here, but have never seen one.

Russ, gorgeous rose petal layers. It must be wonderful to have an 'off the beaten path' like you posted.

Courtney, your scenery captures are fabulous. Did Chris enjoy all his changes? He sure looks excitedly happy.
