Enjoying all the photos this month. Didn't think I would have time to contribute but if all else fails resort to the grandchildren!

This could be 'relaxing' as well but I'll use it as my choice for this month

Nice pumpkin/bales image, Tennie.
The grandchildren fit the subjects this month very well, Angela!

Yes, it did involve some work, especially for first-timers like ourselves. Below are some hastily snapped shots which give an idea of what it was like.
After the frames were removed from the hive, the wax was cut off with a hot capping knife.

Then the frames were whirled around in an extractor. The honey and some wax came out the bottom into a bucket with a strainer bag in it. The bucket has a spigot at the bottom and honey was poured into the bottles from that.

Well, that's got to be the cutest witch and wizard I've seen this year.
I hope Megan wasn't going for 'scary'.

Honey looks like work ... but sure worth it.

Tennie, how colorful the squash & bales are --- nice capture! Glad you were able to participate in this month's thread.

Anglea - thanks for sharing photos of your awesome grandchildren. The photos are wonderful & fun to see.

Mary - Sure like the photo of the quaint saloon. All the photos of the honey making are so interesting & well done. Congratulations on your first year production! Did the bees produce as much as expected?

Rusty - Your church children photos are always great. Love the window image.

btw everyone - A new list will be posted soon. All suggestions for the happy month of November will be appreciated.

Courtney, thanks for your comment :)

I think this caterpillar has found just the right attire color for halloween. (I've never seen one like this before). I brought home a pot of orange mums & the next day I saw this on the pavement near by - hmmm--

I saw this cloud & thought it sort of looked like a Pike. (btw - no manipulations, just levels)
