Today a nearby town had a "winter carnival". The ice carving wasn't anything out of the ordinary so I tried some extreme processing (extreme for me)...

The background was a bit distracting so a gave it some Topaz BW treatment
Man cannot change the direction of the wind but he can adjust the sails
One for rodent. The local grey squirrels come and raid the bird feeders. They are fun to watch so we don't actively discourage them...

Love the squirrel photo. A few months back i visited a restaurant that has been in my neighborhood for years but i had never went to. There are windows at the tables where you could see out back . They have feeders right by the windows and the one squirrel was the biggest i had ever seen. He evidently was the big daddy in charge because every other critter waited until he was finished i do hope to get back to take photos soon.
I took a few photos today while grocery shopping to finally get started on this month's 8.
