This is "The Calling". It sits at the end of Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Milwaukee overlooking Lake Michigan. It's by Mark di Suvero and was installed in 1982.

Most of the intelligensia like it; suggesting that critics "aint got no couth"! If you want to know more about it, just Google "ugly orange sculpture" and, Shazam, there it is, the first hit

Here are two more. When I set out today DW asked me where I was going. She looked at my " Eight List"; she thought for a minute and made two suggestions. I had already thought of one of them. So, of the three I'm posting now, she shares credit for one and has full credit for one.

He's right - I googled it to test it out. :D

I like the painterly treatment you used, Rusty. Thanks for the 8.

Interesting list, Rusty. Thanks. So far I haven't managed to capture any - though I have an idea or two. Today's grey, cold, damp weather is not inspiring!

Great list, Rusty, and interesting photos, too. Will try my darndest to get in at least one photo this month. We, too, had very gray, damp weather here in the Seattle area. Have missed the Challenge a lot!
