And on top of The Quiet Place sits a stone orb

That campus was a gold mine.
Nice catches!

PS. I also used Topaz to pump up my bicycle wheels.

Angela - liked your treatment of the public art and wheels. Nice angle for the wheels, also.

Angela i really like the quiet place and that is one big orb.
Thanks, Rusty, Mary and Judy. The campus is nearby and can be a good source of images for the Challenge. It just takes that push to see things from a new angle!
Some reaaly good photos this month from quite a demanding list. Well done everyone.

This is more public art from the University campus. I have to say that thses are more to my taste. This tree was damaged in a storm several years ago. Much of it was cut down and the rest carved with all sorts of images. The plaque explaining it has now gone and the tree is beginning to rot away. However you can still make out some of the carvings. There is an elephant to the left and I have inserted a close-up of a face from the other side.

This is chainsaw art. It amazes me that someone can produce this inticate work using a chainsaw. The interlocking pattern is of geese (I think) in flight. It is also beginning to suffer from the effects of weather and nature

I managed to get one more yesterday when my son was the only one willing to sail in the very cold, blustery conditions.

Sailing? Snow on the ground?
Hmmmmmm.

Your son gets an A for effort.

Nice collection of images to close in on the end of your list.

Rusty

(I also still have 2 to go; not sure if I'll make it)
