Three nice ones, Mary. I especially like the composition of the last one.

One of my squirrels came through:

I have a squirrel house in a tree next to the patio. Because there are squirrel feeders below, it is a popular abode.

Here's a better view of the dude looking out:

In the early spring new little squirrels appear around here. It is funny to watch the house where we can often see two or three very little heads, side by side, poking out the hole getting a first "view of their world".

Thanks, Rusty. That's some "squirrel house" - have never seen one before. I like the way you circled it and then pointed to its location in the tree.

Home of a Non-Human: Here's a neighbor's bee hive - unfortunately, the bees died off over the winter. We lost one of your two hives.

This is it for me regarding hosting the subjects. Anyone who would like to post them for the coming months is most welcome. This thread has been in existance almost 4 years! Thanks to Betty for doing it for most of this time. It's been a lot of fun.

We have honkers here too. The small lake and cattail patches are their home year around.

I have to wonder if the kitties mess with the fish?

I'm told the kitties bring in birds but, so far, no fish!

This is a follow-up to my earlier post.

Each year, in mid-April or early May, I see a pile of trash on the ground under my squirrel house(s). Shredded leaves. A signal that the little ones have grown up and left the nest.

I guess mother squirrels are typical women ... must get into Spring Cleaning and get rid of all that smelly, nasty stuff.
:D

I want to thank you all for posting such wonderful photos. I so enjoy them. I rarely get the opportunity to snap photos. So i really enjoy that you share yours with me.
Mary, Rusty & Charles - wonderful springtime photos.

I think I'll find my camera & take advantage of new spring blooms & emerging wildlife.

Looking forward to more wonderful photos from everyone, whether they are from Mary's list or subjects of your choice.
