I'm running my PC with Athlon 64 x2 4600 (2.40GHZ, 512Kx2) on Vista. Does anyone know if there is a compatibility issue with Premiere Elements working on an Athlon chip? :?:

I need to know this before Tuesday, I will buy the upgrade then if and only if it will work. Can anyone advise me on this???

It should work. The AMD Athlon 64 (single or dual core) chips are fully compatible with any software out there that will run on an Intel chip. You may run into some issues when trying to match up hardware, but even that is rare nowadays as far as I know.

Some of the older AMD processors did not support the SSE2 instruction set, that has not been the case for a few years now. If you have a dual core processor you will not have any problems running Premiere Elements :)

Great........looks like CompUSA had the combo 6/4 for $69.99. I think that is the best around for Black Friday. I may skip the PSE6 and just go for PE4...still undecided on that part. Appreciate your help Chuck.
